🇬🇷 Everyone loved Rodos (Rhodes). The port, one of our favorites, is adjacent to the Citadel of Rhodes, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe and a UNESCO world heritage site. You could just wander in and get lost in the narrow arched cobblestone streets, many lined with cute shops and restaurants, with a central Square and topped by the Palace of the Grandmaster of the Knights of Rhodes, surrounded by a giant moat that was never filled. Rich booked the fabulous “Medieval Rhodes E-Bike Highlights Photo Tour” led by expert guide Christos of Explore Rhodes, with shipmates Mike, Claire and Bill ($50US). The route passed the harbor, which was the site of the reported Colossus of Rhodes, around all of the moats and through the narrow streets of the Citadel, then up to a spectacular viewpoint. Steve joined for a Greek lunch at La Fontana Rodos and more strolling around the Citadel. He and Claire danced in the plaza to a blues band after we had gelato.
