🇬🇷 The series Durrells on Corfu made us want to visit this Greek Island, and we did in Nov ‘23, and loved it. We made a last minute port substitution here this time, and Rich took the opportunity to do the same e-bike ride we did then, renting from George at Corfu Port Bicycles again (€30). Rich led shipmates and stalwart bike buddies Claire and Bill on the 20 km route that included the old and new fortresses, old town Corfu (a UNESCO heritage site), Mon Repos park and mansion (Prince Phillips’ birthplace, and a setting in the TV show) and to Kanoni and the viewpoint over the Holy Monastery of Vlacherna on an islet. We enjoyed a leisurely waterfront Greek lunch and Claire and Rich later strolled the Old Town. A very enjoyable day.
