2025 Island Princess World Cruise

Our 2025 World Cruise from Los Angeles January 20 to Los Angeles January 17 spanned six continents, crossed four oceans, the equator twice and the International Date Line, and the classic locks of the Panama Canal. We adopted the theme “Bicycling ‘Round the World” and completed 25 rides on all 6 continents, mostly on e-bikes. Other excursions where biking wasn’t a good option were also very memorable. Sea days were enjoyable as we kept busy partaking in ukulele, pickleball and lots of trivia contests. We got to know a plethora of interesting people traveling on the World Cruise or its various segments. Weather mostly cooperated, avoiding excessive summer heat in Australia and Africa, and even in South and Central America. We also avoided a couple of typhoons in the Indian Ocean. However we did encounter some rainy windy spring weather in the Mediterranean, leading to the swapping of several ports and cancellations of several bike rides. We each caught several colds, that were hard to avoid. It didn't interrupt any port activities for Rich, but Steve stayed on board for a few. All in all the cruise was the most wonderful experience for both of us.
